PACE Closing Prayer on April 12, 2020 (Easter) led by Jim Alexander
Lord, hear now this Prayer of Celebration in the midst of worldwide fear:
Now as we walk through the valley of the shadow of a Coronavirus Pandemic, We fear getting sick.
“Have you not heard the Good News?”
Good News? Schools & Businesses are closed. Millions have lost their jobs! Their homes may be next.
“Listen to me, the tomb is empty.”
Yes, but in America over 500,000 have tested positive for an unfamiliar disease with no known cure.
“CHRIST is Risen."
You know, that is so difficult to hold on to when more than 20,000 have already died.
“Is not the Lord your Shepherd?”
Of course, but it’s really hard to be spiritually centered when what we really want are our green pastures back.
“Today is Easter. Christ is Risen … Celebrate Resurrection!”
You are right, of course, but our human faith falters. Remind us how.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples...” (John 13:34-35)
PACE Class, have you heard the Good News? Today is Easter.
The tomb is empty. Go forth in Love. CHRIST is Risen. HE is Risen Indeed!
