How to set up the Cart Host
- Set up A/V cart:
- run power cord in protector with audio cable from outlet to projector
- ensure audio cable is connected at both ends (audio control box & A/V cart)
- power up projector and computer
- focus and size projector image
- connect to internet (CUMC WiFi or phone HotSpot)
- If internet is available at the cart:
- open web browser to current PACE program
- login into the Zoom session with PACE Host credentials
- change name to "Cart Camera"
- be prepared to start recording when it is time for the program
- get fly mouse set up and tested
- If no internet available at the cart:
- insert USB flash drive containing A/V files
- bring up PPT or appropriate A/V software
- get laser "clicker" set up and tested
- Set up Mobile Camera on a phone:
- connect to internet (CUMC WiFi, phone cell data or phone HotSpot)
- login into the Zoom session with the phone
- change name to "Mobile Camera"
- set up tripod and phone adapter
- attach phone to adapter and tripod
- When the Class Leader attempts to start, go to Zoom and:
- click on Participants, then "Mute All" at the bottom right
- click on Share Screen
- follow instructions at Show Video Settings
If recording the Program portion of the class on the Cart Laptop, allow time after class to:
- save the MP4 file to external media, like a flash drive;
- erase all recorded files (video and chat) from the Cart Laptop.
